My client is an award winning digital agency based in Brighton. The company has been very successful since inception, privately owned by owner/managers. The business has seen dramatic organic growth over the last 2 years specifically within the data and creative teams. The creative team deals with all manners related to design from UI/UX to CRO and beyond. Most of the team are both developers and designers and the business now feel the time is right to add an art director. The art director role will be a stand-alone role working alongside the head of creative. The art director will be a client facing individual who can work with and pull together all elements of the team to create a strategic design vision. The role will be incredibly collaborative and whilst it will have no direct reports the Art Director role is a senior position that will help shape the vision of the client briefs and therefore the company. A design could be related to anything within digital marketing from brand design, full website rebuilds, microsites through to email and advertising design elements. The Art director role needs someone with vision and great ideas. This is not a role that requires someone to have development skills but obviously, the latest digital design tools are important. My client would be open-minded to operating a flexible working week and perhaps and part-time candidate if this was suitable.
